You figured that if ebay owns a sizeable chunk of craigslist, which offers similar services, but under a more community based forum-feel, it was only a matter of time before the idea trickled down onto their site. Here's to ebay trying to dominate everything
Google needs to have 'google auctions' or something so ebay isn't being the microsoft of the online auction world. What's funny is that Ebay fears any kind of competition, especially if google were to delve into 'their' market. Example: Ebay revoked the use of Google checkout as a method of payment. Then again, they wouldn't allow outbound links (of a seller) to their eCommerce website for example. However, where's there a wall, there's usually a way to the other side.
