Hey out there. . .

What exactly are automatic blogging software programs and what do they do? Do these programs somehow generate content for you? It doesn't sound ideal but it is clear that folks out there use these. I'm new here so I'm just looking for information and facts.

I haven't heard o blogging software as you mention, but:
1) some article hosting sites will push articles to your blog
2) RSS can be configured to update selected information directly to a blog
