Wordpress - just gone 2007/02/17 15:19
Urghh

Now my Wordpress blogs have been suspended. No word beforehand. Just gone.

Tried to contact Support but of course it is Saturday and no one will be there until Monday.

Wordpress looks so good and I don't think Blogger is any where near as well presented. So I had at least 8 Wordpress blogs up and running. It is going to take me hours to replace them.

I guess it was all because of the affiliate advertising that was on them. However some of them didn't have a high percentage of advertising and yet it seems like 'take one off - take all off'

Obviously I shall have to wait until Monday before I can ask for my case to be looked into. Even if I get anything back I'll not be able to trust Wordpress ever again.

Yes I know it only happens with the free sites but that is all I can afford at present!

Thanks, Holly for having a forum where I can moan about these circumstances.

The exact reason why you need your own site

The free ones DO NOT allow any ads.

If you want to succeed at this business as quick as possible you have to put some into it.

Get your own site your own hosting, pay for some ads to get traffic to your site.

If you try to do it using all Free things, you will quit in frustration due to lack of results before you see any progress.

There are exceptions to this rule, but not very many.

Sorry if I have offended anyone, but you can ask anyone that has any success at this if that statement is true or not.

Wanted to lay out out truthfully and not sugar coat it.

Hi Charles

The advice you give is good. However, I do have sites that I pay for. My blogs I use to try things out, for recreational communication between sports club groups and for personal use. As you can see I have them for all kinds of reasons.

I knew that I was running the risk so I do have copies of all entries that I felt were important. It is just so annoying and time consuming setting up alternatives.

Thanks, Charles, regards
