Wordpress Help 2007/03/01 04:26
Hi Everyone,
I'm currently building a small niche site using WP as a content management system. I have donloaded a theme I like, and I am currently editing it to fit my needs.

I'm trying to place a small banner for an affiliate program into the sidebar...unfortunetly I can't get the actual banner graphic to show. It is showing the alt text and applying my link, so I know it isn't a problem with my placement.

The code contains the line <img src="(image directory)/gtts_banner3.gif"

I am supposed to upload the gif file onto my server(I have), and change the part of the code that says image directory to reflect the placement on my server..but I have no idea what to type. I created an images folder, and used (images), but that didn't work...do I have to name it using all the subfolders i.e. myurl.com/wordpress/content/themes/images?

Any advice? The rest of this project should be super easy, so I'm starting to bang my head against a wall

Thanks,
Kevin

update, got it working...for anyone doing similar, I uploaded the gif file into my root directory, and changed the line to read <img src="http://www.myurl.com/gtts_banner3.gif"
