I have heard and read an enormous amount of positive reviews about NVUs website editor. Although I have limited experience with web design software I have created some very decent sites that are very professional. Can anyone please tell me what I'm missing out on by not spending the massive amount of cash for Dreamweaver or Frontpage? Really what am I missing? Any advice is as always greatly appreciated!!!!

From the sound of things you are more informed about website design than I am, I downloaded NVU from the advise of a member of the Geek Squad. I had some problems with my computer and the topic came up. The way he explained to me is NVU makes a great learning platform and when you are more experienced you can move to Dreamweaver or FrontPage. Once I am comfortable I think I am going with Frontpage with the new upgrade, I have heard a lot of great things and seems to to the most popular. Then again I am still learning myself.

Well actually in my opinion having used both NVU and Frontpage, I prefer NVU personally. I sent out a package to my list about a week ago where Ewen Chia gives you NVU for free, but it also contains a whack of video tutorials along with it. Which isn't usually available with the typical download. Also, just for giving it away yourself you can make money from it. Here, is the link if you'd like.

If your not too busy. Is there a way I can work on an existing website using NVU I have been trying and I can't find anything on the subject in the users guide or in the tutorial.

Yeah, as long as the pages weren't created in some funky "proprietary" program like Yahoo Site Builder, "yuck", or I use XSitePro, quite a lot to, and it won't open properly in other programs but, I edit a lot of Resell Rights Salespages with NVU.

Just find the html page you are wanting to edit or work on, right click it, and select, "open with", choose a program from the list, and chose NVU. Should work I've done it plenty of times.

If that doesn't work, then, open up NVU, select "file", then click, "open", search for your html page and open it. It will open up in NVU!
