Geez Louise! HELP ME! 2008/01/23 19:05
Wow! Okay... been thinking and brainstorming and finally came up with my BIG IDEA... bought hosting with BlueHost... got my domain name, etc.... etc...

So....

Its been a few years since I've created an entire website. I used to think I was somewhat computer literate with a pretty good working knowledge of HTML and flash and all that stuff...

As per Holly's book, I installed Joomla... And now I am completely and totally LOST!

What happened? Joomla took over my website!

I didn't put that stuff there... This whole CMS thing has me completely confused!

your going to have to get into the administration area and start to change your look, and feel, the contents, template, etc. I don't know Joomla myself much, but I've played with it a bit, and do know that much. I'd suggest finding some Joomla tutorials on the net. There are many available.

Cheers
Davin

Maybe I went about this the wrong way LOL

I have now downloaded nvu ... its just an html editor and I can deal with html LOL ...

Now... the next thing is how to get the joomla stuff off of my site.

The last time I had a website was using an FTP client and uploading everything to that. This drag and drop thing is confusing LOL

is an example of past work for a client. However, a split with my ex-husband has left the past four years of my life with very little time to devote to my (old) business so I let it go.

Now, to begin again... ahh....
