Holly, this is great.

I'm all in favor of bartering services. It just makes such perfect sense in so many ways. In fact I entered into a JV arrangement with another member of your forum a few weeks ago because she had exactly the kind of specialist knowledge I had been looking for for a while.

I'm sure there have been other instances of partnerships and arrangements going on behind the scenes. It just never occured to me to mention it here ... no joined up thinking, see?

Holly and Everyone... GREAT idea! and I hope to be able to contribute. Don't know much about techy computer stuff, but I got A's in English and could help with that. No dangling participles shall pass...lol

From my point of view it will be easier to keep it within this forum.

These days there's so much to keep in mind; trying to understand and update.

It's often difficult to understand or remember what is what - and what is where...

As much as possible in the same site will make it easier!

I'm just beginning... it's exciting and demanding - trying to keep my head in the right place.

I think emilie is right, most people probably don't even find the place where it is located now.

Maybe there should be a part for it in the forum. This part could be seperated into "looking for", "can help with". Then people can post what kind of help they are looking for and what they offer in exchange. Others can post things like "I can help you with article writing in exchange for some copy & paste work" or similar...

I think there would be a much higher activity, especially if you place the section somewhere near the top, Holly.
