Where to from here? 2007/05/17 04:22
I read Holly Mann's ebook and I have to say that it is first rate. After reading it last week, I took the idea of crab cakes and began a blog site. Well, I monitized it by adding Adsense to it. I have written several recipes and am continuing to put more recipes on the site. In two days so fair i have had 66 and 35 impressions. I have receive 2 clicks and I wanted to get some expert advice as to what to do with the site next? I was told to add images of crab cakes because amazingly, there are people who do not know what a crab cake is!

I have been reading Aaron Walls' SEOBOOK and I would like youir advice.

here is the blog http://crabcakesheaven.blogspot.com

now, remember, that I just put the site up late Monday evening and added ADSENSE just yesterday, so don't be too rough on me.

Oh, I also want to say, that I added ADCENTER AND YAHOO MARKETING today. To drive traffic? Did I do right?

Well the first thing I noticed was that last post was about salmon burgers. Now if you want to be specific to your niche (which is very specific) you should stay with crab cakes. It's just misleading when your site is "all about crab cakes" when you have other things.

Personally, I think this might be a little too specific. However, I tread lightly when I say that. In the right market, certain keywords can rake in a considerable amount of money even though they may convert a few visitors(this would be a product/service based site which has HIGH ROI). You might want to broaden your niche a little bit to include either seafood appetizers, appetizers or even seafood recipes. It's your call to stay on crab cakes only.

Second, I don't think blogger/wordpress like having their free blogs with adverts(google ads) on them. Check their TOS (terms of service) to see. You may get an email from them about that, which could lead to a suspension of your account. It is highly suggested you put your blogs on your own web hosting preference.
