Difficulty Understanding Directories 2007/04/09 16:57
Hi, I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I encountered a problem with understanding the directories.

I listed (paid) with a directory a couple weeks ago and was going to list with others after some description tweaking, but I am told the site already exists under the domain name or in the category. The directories have different names and I believe different urls, so I am confused. Any help?

Your not completely confused, no. Depending on which directory you have paid to have your site included in they may have many sister sites where they listed it in as well. These are usually different domain names and urls etc. Many site directories have sister sites, so this could be the case.

Davin is so right on all the sister sites. For example, you sign up for one free directory and before the moon is high in the 7th house, you check your dedicated email acct one day and (I always use one special email just for directory sites), you are asked to join their PAID sister site too....life in the big IM!
