Hi! Anyone can tell me anything about webrings? Are they good for SEO, bad for SEO ... are there pitfalls?

I tried one for a while with my mortgage site. No gain, no loss SEO-wise or traffic-wise, just a waste of time.

That said, if your niche appeals to people who just like to surf around, you might want to give it a shot. The other thing about them I found is that people tend to kind of bury the webring links in an out-of-the-way spot or in the middle of a bunch of other garbage on their site, so users don't seem to really click on the links.
