I finally got up the never to become as affiliate for a product and I signed up with clickbank. They gave my my url (hoplink) I copied it and tried to paste it in a document but when I went back to click on it nothing happened. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong.

What type of document are you pasting it into? Even though you have an http: link you still may have to link the text and make it an active link within the program. It really depends on the program your using, or perhaps pasting it into.

I was trying to post it in an email to send to my friends. I notice when I sent a test email to myself at another email account the emal came through fine but when I clicked on the link there was no line under the url so obviously it is not connected.

Any thoughts? And can you tell me what exactly is spamming? Thanks so much for your help Davin.

Hmmm, yeah, I'm not really sure why that happens but I have noticed it seems to happen with yahoo accounts quite a lot. If it's just going to your friends perhaps suggest that they copy and paste it into their browser if it isn't active.

As far as spam. There are many different forms. In email marketing it is when people send you crap that you didn't request getting or getting sent offers from marketers when you haven't opted in to their email subscriber list to agree to receive their information and offerings.

Sometimes people forget that they have opted into a mailing list sometimes and then threaten spam complaints even though they had in fact requested info from you. It's a finicky world out there! And at times, full of whiners, who just like to make trouble.

Spam in forums is when people come in and just place blatant ads, sometimes in the tens, without even letting the forum get to know who they are, or they don't contribute to the forum by helping other's or are trying to learn from others. They just come into the forum and place blatant ads which, usually will just get deleted anyway. I'm not sure why people do this, it obviously does nothing for their credibility or sales I'm sure.

Marketing in forums can be very lucrative but, there are rules and guidelines, and also there should be just plain courtesy.
