Review Website 2007/11/07 18:57
So here's the story.

I've a Review Website set up (12 products in all) and I'm attempting to attract customers to it via adwords campaigns. I'm currently promoting a product from Clickbank and receiving a 1-1.5 CTR but few sales.

Now I have to confess that the site does not scream 'Professional' at you. For those who want to take a look it is based upon a template I got from OSWD http://www.oswd.org/files/designs/3499/aqua/

So I'm hunting for a good template that could be used as the basis of a Review Website. Free is best but I am prepared to spend some money if it holds promise.

There seem to be tons of templates out there for blogs and Adsense sites, and for club and personal sites but I can't seem to find any that would be easily adopted to Review Sites.

My own way of doing reviews is to pick two or three products in the same area e.g. I cover Holly, the Rich Jerk, and Google Money Pro (but I don't advertise them they are basically there as fillers. There is to much competition in the IM area for my liking)

I give a short paragraph or two about the product. I try to stick to 150 words max. A Brief Points In Favour and Points Against my own personal recommendation and I of course try to encourage the visitor to click on the link through to the vendors page. Even though I don't actively promote IM products I've sold one of Holly's books of the site.

On the product I'm actively promoting I'm receiving a 1.1.5 percent CTR but sales are not great and I think a lot of that is down to a poor layout. So two questions

Can any member point me in the direction of a good template (PM me if you want)

While I appreciate that members won't want to display their own niches I would be grateful if you could point me to a few sites that would give me ideas as to how this type of site should be laid out.

Many thanks for any help offered
