Affiliate network cons... 2008/07/30 15:34

And I have one more question (i hope last one for now). E-book said about Affiliate networks: "cons: normally charge a fee or percentage for each sale you make (up to 7.5%)". They charge me in stead of paying me for each sale? Doesn't make sence...
And this is off the subject: one time I was searching for affiliate programms and one company was offering 100% commision. Is this possible, I mean what is the catch for them then?

I'm not sure about the 100% commission unless they were giving you resell rights or something. In some cases they give you something to sell for 100% commission, but then they have links within the product (digital products) that they make money from on the 'back end' sales.
As for the cons - I assume that is referring to affiliate networks charging you as a seller. If you are promoting other people's products and make a sale, you don't pay the affiliate network anything. You just get a commission.
On the other hand, if you want to join the network so that you can get other people to sell a product for you and give them a commission, the network will charge you a fee for tracking and processing the commissions.
I hope that helps clarify things a bit for you.
Blessings, Angie
