Hello everyone. After reading the e-book, I have decided that I would like to work with affiliate marketing to start things off. Get my feet wet and just get experience with working online. I am not very savy with any of this, so i was wondering if theres any way that someone could walk me through the process. I'm not asking for all the tips in the world, but just show me the ropes to get me on my feet. If its possible, I have AIM and would like to talk through that. Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I hope you don't think we were all ignoring you. Affiliate marketing is a great way to start working online. It's a slow and steady process, but if you do it right, you can build up a nice business and income for yourself.

There is an excellent free affiliate marketing course in my signature that you can help yourself to. It really was the thing that got me going in the right direction when I was starting out. There are a couple of other free resources there, too, if you want.

Maybe something that would be even more effective in walking you through the process, step by step, is to take a look at SBI's Action Guide. It is both written and video and really explains the process of successful site building in a down to earth fashion.

You won't be able to actually access the tools and software that they are showing you unless you end up building your site with SBI, but it should still help you get a good understanding of the process.

I am in the same boat. I have read Holly's book, set up a web site, now what? I will read SBI's 10 day action plan and see if that helps, but it sure would be great if someone could let us know how to generate even a few dollars immediately to get the ball rolling. Good luck all!

The only way I can think of to generate a few dollars immediately that would actually be pretty guaranteed is to go over to Amazon's Mechanical Turk and see if you can find some HIT's (human intelligent tasks) that you could do. They don't usually pay much, but they pay very quickly.

There are also other sites, like elance.com and getafreelancer.com that you could look at and bid on some jobs there. The thing is, if you don't already have some experience online, you mind find those tasks a bit more difficult to perform.

Affiliate marketing can be slow getting started (in spite of Holly's quick success). If you get lucky and and find a relatively untapped niche, you may be able to progress quicker than most.

I think you really will find SBI's Action Guide helpful in understanding what is involved in making it successfully in affiliate marketing over the long haul. It will help you in building your site, too.

The absolute fastest way to get started making money is to have someone mentor you and walk you step-by-step through the process. Unfortunately mentoring is usually expensive. Think thousands.

The next best thing is group mentoring. It's not one on one, but you get to work along with a group of people all taking the same steps as you and it's great for morale to be able to compare progress.

I recommend you take a look at it. It is the best free step-by-step video series I've come across that takes you through the whole process from idea, to product creation, to quick sales, to traffic, to residual income.

Your budget will have an impact on what's a realistic option for you.
