Need help from experienced IM'ers 2007/09/23 18:24
Hi guys,

It's been a while since I posted but I still lurk often. I need your advice. I am thinking of purchasing a bunch of ready made websites that a professional webmaster made but doesn't want anymore. They have never been sold on ebay or anything like that. They look like they are ready to generate cash through Adsense and Clickbank, etc. They cover a wide array of niche topics and the guy is selling them quite cheaply. I need a php enabled web hosting service. I have Bluehost since I took advantage of Holly's free site offer so I think I'm OK there. Anyway, I'm wondering if I purchase these sites, will there be a lot of upkeep? Many of the sites already have articles on them are are over 100 pages long. I think this is something that I should pursue but wondered what people thought, esp people who have experience running sites to generate cash. Thanks for any advice that you can give.

Well I don't have a ton of sites myself Carrie. Holly has, well let's just say, 'mega ' sites so perhaps she would more be the one to answer this, but I'm quite sure when I've spoken with her she's mentioned that once you have a site up to a certain level of growth you are probably safe with only needing to add a new page, or make some changes etc. around once a month or so.

Cheers

OK, so it sounds like I will have to work on SEO stuff to get my sites ranked highly. Then once the site is ranked where I am happy about it, then I can just work on it once a month. For the SEO stuff, I'm assuming I should just follow the information in Holly's book, right?

Is there another SEO resource that you think I should look into?

Thanks so much for the help.

Yes, follow Holly's info in her book on that. I would also suggest you invest in some type of software such as SEO Elite or IBP etc. as well.

take care
