Getting Started 2007/03/31 06:37
Hello Everybody, I just finished Holly's book and purchased space on a bluehost. I want to start a website where I can invite people to download audio or video files that they will be able to see after they pay a fee and get a password to allow them to see or hear the material. Bluehost recommends using NVU to create the website for free. I am using a Mac G4 Powerbook to create the site. Does anybody have any recommendations as to what web design software to use on a Mac that would allow you to password protect access to audio or video files? Thanks for your Help, Ed

NVU is mac compatible. I also use mac and I have NVU in my applications. I haven't used it though but I heard that it's much easier than Dreamweaver.

password protecting audio and video files usually comes from a script that your host (personally, I use Site Ground) may include in their package through a control panel. Where you can password protect a directory (folder) within your site.

Hope this helps
