hoplinks? 2008/07/29 10:06
I just got a couple of links from Clickbank. I want to cloak the link for the affiliate so that I can get started. Problem is they sent me two links. I know extremely little about these things.

First off, I don't know which one to use.

Example:
http://xxxxxxxx.xxxxxxx.hop.clickbank.net/ or

<a href="http://xxxxxxxx.xxxxxx.hop.clickbank.net/" target="_top">Click Here!</a>.

Second, the last link has me quite confused. I don't know what to do with that one at all. Please excuse my inexperience, but do I have to do anything in regards to that >Click Here!</a> portion?

I really need some help with this one.

Okay, the first one is your affilaite link, if you are going to cloak your link, that is what you cloak.

The second one is html code. If you use that on your site, all you will see is:

you won't see the actual link. "Click here" will be your link. If you want it to say something else, just change the text to whatever you want it to say. You can cloak the second one as well by changing this part of the address: http://xxxxxxxx.xxxxxx.hop.clickbank.net/ to your cloaked link and replacing it in the html code.

Does that make sense to you?

Kathy

Thank you so much. Yes it makes sense. I think I am going to go with the first one.

I appreciate you taking the time to help. I really needed that. I am learning so much here. You guys are great. It's really nice to be a part of this internet family.

I took a peek and really enjoyed your website.

P.S. I sent you a message.
