I'm trying to cloak my link to my half.com store in my blog. The "Link" button does not give the chance to make the link "say" what you want it to show. Just the ugly link!

Apparantly it's html, so the idea's I've gotten from reading the other cloaking posts here don't work. EX: visit my store If you get what I mean.

Does anyone know how to make the links "attractive" there?

Are you trying to cloak the URL on the half.com page? Or use a specific phrase as anchor text?
I'm thinking you want the anchor text. What you want to do is in your post type "visit my store", then highlight that phrase. While it's highlighted, hit the link icon in the editor. In the pop up there will be a place to enter the URL you are linking to. You can also choose whether it opens in a new window and add some text for when the link is hovered over.

When I think of cloaking, I'm normally trying to do something different....the customer would be looking at half.com, but the address bar would still say your blog address. That's why I wasn't sure.

Yeah! It was just what I was trying to do in that instance. I did have to look on Blogger help for the code to make the 2nd window open, but low and behold, I did it after the 2nd try! The help page, for anyone needing it,is HERE . (I learned how to do this link while reading the threads earlier!)

Now, in a day or so I'll be needing to figure our how to properly cloak my affiliate links for security, but, we'll save that for later!
