Today I received an e-mail from the Rich jerk about a "hidden easter egg" on one of Mike Filsaime's sites.

Something just didn't seem right about the e-mail, so I did some checking...

Although it's presented as one of Mr. Filsaime's sites, where he made a mistake and left a little easter egg in there, if you do a little checking, you find that the site is pointed to a rich jerk DNS server

I find it kinda funny the way The Rich Jerk presented it only to find out that it's one of his own websites. I'm sure a deal was struck with Mr. Filsaime to sell the book cheaper to his list or something..

Anyway, more underhanded tactics of marketing. Found it interesting and thought I'd share.

I'd say 99% of the times when a marketer does that to another marketer it was pre-planned. Just like Flava-Flave in the old school Public Enemy song "Don't... Don't... Don't belive the hype!"

Ya, i figured something was up with that. I got the same email and did check out the site. Although a tempting price, I've got more important things right now to spend my money on, I've got software I don't even touch as it is, no need for more. I'm gonna pick up Ryan Orell's book, but after that, hell, I should be more than set up with enough information to last me, well let's just say, I'd never read it all. I'm more into the doing these days than the reading all the time, which is a good thing I guess. Cheers Davin
