I get a ton of stuff on the safelists saying things like:
"Blast your ad to 50 zillion trillion people right now for free"

While I know that most of it is bogus...How do I know what is real?

Practically speaking:

Do any of the ones that say they will submit your ad for free really work?

Do any of the ones that say they will submit your ads for say...under 10.00 really work?

Are ANY of these companies legit?

Do you have to be a top notch writer with good connections in order to get a hit to your site? (like submitting articles)

What is the most you should pay a service for leads?
(or should you ever?)

Well...that is all for now. I really want to learn and I know there is alot of crap and misinformation out there. I just don't know how to sort it out. I would like to learn without getting burned.
I appreciate any info you can all give me.

I have enjoyed this site because the members here really seem to be integral and honest. I like the way that information is shared freely. It is small enough to build some trust and confidence. I keep coming back to read posts and learn more and have absorbed quite a bit. I do appreciate the fact that people here are willing to share information freely and that you are accomodating of newbies like me. I have joined a couple of other forums that are so MEAN when you ask a question.

I use to try some of those programs, known as FFA's which submit your ad all over the place and to be honest, my experience and many other's experiences is these are usually a waste of time, you might get your ad blasted to a ton of FFA sites, only problem is that nobody ever reads these FFA sites, so really it's will have very little results.

Submitting your ads on Posteroo, will give you some results I have found, with posteroo, your ads actually get seen on television in various different cities and towns, so this can and does give you some results. It might not be mind boggling results but still you should see some activity.

Writing articles is a very good way of doing things though, and to answer your question, you don't have to be some unbelievable author type, you might want to use a spellcheck on your articles before submitting and what not, but I have seen a lot of articles written a lot more poorly than the ones I have submitted Not only that but it's a great way to get backlinks to your website, by placing a link in your signature to your site. If you don't have your own site yet you can place a link back to one of your affiliate programs that you are promoting, anyways, writing articles, has some very good benefits. The good thing about articles to is that people download them and place them on there own websites as well and they must be left in their original state, so your getting more exposure back to your site in almost a viral effect. I've had the same experience as Dav. I used to blast to FFA sites and free site submitters and found that I was wasting my time. I mean I would blast daily for about a weak straight. You'd think half the Earth would have seen my ad by then I was waiting anxiously for all the dough to start rolling in... 1 maybe 2 sales about 2 months later. NOT WORTH it and I've tried about 4 of them before I realized that I was waisting my time.

They even have some programs that say well you have to be the owner and join the member ship so can post to all the members. Although this worked for a select few it was not a widely effective method with marketers marketing to marketers.

I've realized that article writing as Dav and Holly state and are very effective.
