Due to my current situation, I have to work from home. I am not trying to get rich quick, I just want a job that I don't have to buy into, sell stuff, or talk everyone into joining. Are there really any data entry jobs out there? How about researching, etc. I just want something that I can perform a task and get paid to do it. I have very good computer skills, my typing isn't half bad either.

I work very hard at anything I do, but I am NOT going to invest my money into a job that is supposed to pay me.

I understand your frustration - there really are alot of scams out there.

I know you said you wouldn't pay for a job, but a job is different from a home business opportunity. If you are required to fill out a w-4, then it is truly a job and you should NOT pay for it.

If it is a home business opportunity, companies usually give you listings of companies that provide you with work, and the education or knowledge you need to set up your home business. These usually require a fee, and not all are scams.

Since you say you have good typing skills, I would suggest you do some freelancing online. This doesn't cost you anything, and you can find plenty of people that will pay you $5 to $10 and MORE for writing simple 4 or 500 word articles.

Check out Craigslist and the Warrior Forum - you can find tons of people wanting writers!

You can also submit articles to sites like Associated Content, MyLot and Helium and get paid for your work.

Also, you might want to check out the Bum Marketing Method of making money on the internet. I made my very first money online using this method, and made almost $600 my first month.

There are a lot of ways to make money online have you thought about paid reviews, I would not necessarily dismiss something without researching it you could be missing out on a great opportunity.

Have you thought about creating your own website, paid to reviews, affiliate networks - I know you said you didn't want to sell anything but it is more like promoting as the sale goes through on the affiliate network site?
