Yes I understand! The linking options through places like CJ and Shareasale are great. I was using the same old link options out of habit and comfort and am now exploring the other options. I like what I'm seeing and realize more things I should have been doing all along...famous last words right hah, hah.

Your entry set off light bulbs in my head. I am already implementing what you said.

Please check out my site now per the Blog page and the post at the top right hand side and you will see---I'm sure this is what you meant right...with the new text affiliate links inserted into the page and post.

Entering these text links knocked a few of my sentence lines out of whack but I will try to fix that a bit later.

Thanks very much, Link

I disable my website link on purpose within the forum. I don't like it getting sucked into search engines per privacy issues/concerns. I want my entries herein to be primarily within the HR community.

You've got it! Much better than leaving it to the banner links. I think you'll get many more click-thrus (and hopefully sales) by implementing these types of in-context text links to your affiliates.

All the best,
Angie

Davin,

Does it matter if I have cookies enabled or disabled on my own computer in terms of getting commmissions from my affiliate based site? Could a cookie setting on my own computer here at home be impacting commissions?

I had cookies enabled but today disabled it per my concerns in this regard. This seems however to have weakened the protection my computer has and I'm getting security warnings.

Probably the cookie settings on my computer has nothing to do if I get a commission or not??

Thanks, Link

The cookie settings on your own computer shouldn't affect you receiving commissions. It would only affect other people getting commissions from actions you've taken while browsing.

(P.S. I hope you found my reply to your p.m. last week. I answered you in the post because the messaging system doesn't really work well).
