That is correct. Google Documents and Spreadsheets does allow you to create/edit documents and spreadsheets and save them online for access from anywhere. You can also upload current documents from your computer to there.

That also allows you to invite others to edit your documents as well.

Hope this helps!

I use Go to my PC and have it installed at the office...works great. As for home backup, i use Carbonite ($50 yr) contunuous backup of hds to their remote site. As James pointed out though, even with that you must be careful to keep your Spyware and virus situation in decent shape. if not, you are just backing up a whole truckload of FUTURE problems along with the data (should you need retrieval).

So get good automatic Spyware and registry cleaners, get quality virus sytem in place, and then pray to Bill Gates that his THIS NEXT MS UPDATE WILL NOT BE THE ONE TO BRING IT ALL CRASHING DOWN ON YOUR ENTERPRISING, little HEAD. Don't ya just luv feeling so in control of things in cyber space?

Hi Alinewbie,
I have a few suggestions, hope it helps. If you are using firefox, you can do wonderful things, here's what I do.

1 - Syncronise your bookmarks in any computer that you use. Only applies to Firefox browser. Search for google browser sync. Once installed, it synchronises all your bookmarks regardless of where you are. When I am in my office, home, once firefox google browser sync plugin is installed on those PCs, it will synchronise all yr bookmarks.

2 - Gspace plugin. Create a dummy Gmail account. Install this plugin in your firefox browser. You can literally upload all your files using this plugin. I backup my documents, files, songs, anything to my Gmail account. Its like a storage space.

3 - Gmail. I save all my exe | pdf | docs | excel to my gmail draft so that no matter where I go, I can always download a copy from my gmail draft folder.

4 - Hosting - I also upload my files to my hosting account as a backup. Just create a backup folder and upload your files there.

Hope this info helps.
