I looked up the niche I wanted to in wordtracker. When I searched the terms I wanted many of the results are favorable for my use with SEO.

My confusion is it returned "exact matches". When I look them up in Google to see the live results I typed them in as a general search term and a "....." exact match with quotes. Of course the exact match results were accurate.

Wordtracker states that it suggests the results of exact matches are better but when I optimize my pages do I use the words in quotes or just type them as normal and install articles normally?

Will the search engines just bring them up on exact match searches as long as my words are in there?

Do people actually search there terms with quotes around them that much? LOL.

I'm actually entertained by this as well.

Any advice from Holly or anyone else who knows would be greatly appreciated.

Most people do not do searches with quotes. In fact, most pople don'y even know about it and its effects in the search results. When you optimize your pages you do not need to put the quotes on the keywords you are targeting. What wordtracker means when it says it is preferrable to use quotes (i.e. exact match) in the searches on wordtracker is because you want to optimize your pages to beat your competitors i nthose specific keyword phrases.

Let me explain:

Let's say I find a great niche on wordtracker with the following exact phrase: "online marketing canada" and it has a great KEI and lots of searches per day and few competing pages of about 5,000. [this is just an example and not based on research of this phrase].

This means that I must optimize my page to this phrase exactly. I must have the terms "online marketing canada" in that order on my page. The amazing and enticing results that wordtracker gives tells me that there are few competing pages that have the three words "online marketing canada" in that exact way and order. However, if you were to do a search for online marketing canada (without the quotes) you will find that there are millions of pages and not just 5,000.
The key is to beat your competitor for that specific phrase and not to try and win every person who searches for online marketing canada. Once you do beat your competitor, the result will be that you will most likely be on top of the search engines as well for the term online marketing canada (without the quotes).

Please note: a good tip for optimizing your page is to use a lot of filler content and not just to repeat your keyword phrase over and over again. Todat the search engines want good content. When you go to "keyword universe" in wordtracker and type in the word of phrase that you are searching for, wordtracker gives you many "related terms". Those related terms are the words you should be using as filler content on your page.

Oh yeah, one more thing...
It's a good idea to underline, bold or italicize your keywords every once in a while. This shows that the word is important. And try to place the filler words (that I mentioned in the previous post) as close as possible to the keywords you ar targeting.

Another important thing is to try to use anchor texts. The search engines love it and it will show that your site is a prominent one. Anchor texts are text that link to the other pages on yor site, but are still within the content of your page.

Thanks because that is exactly what I was asking. I couldn't understand how the exact search would be focused on without worrying about the general search of the same term or should I say words in that case.

I do understand a lot more about quality content and not just repeating the same keywords but thank your for enforcing that. I did not know that underlining it would help sometimes. I have known that bolding it and putting it in the header text can make a difference.

And anchor text I do understand as well but again It's better to see it mentioned again and know that I'm not forgetting important things.
