Hi dj,

So far I've got my ideas by asking friends and family about things they are knowledgable or want to sell online. I then go to word tracker to find the niche if there's one. Suddenly within 2 weeks I've got more ideas then I can handle.

Ask yourself: What are your interesting. What would keep you interested in a project?
Have you ever searched the web for something you really wanted and couldn't find?

Have you looked through the click bank products to give yourself some inspiration. I started making a list when looking through clickbank of only the items I liked and wanted to sell.

Start making a list of these things over the next few days and then check out wordtracker to find the niche and the keywords to use.

And come back with any questions

I know what you mean by getting off track. Holly's ebook has a ridiculous amount of ideas on how to make money online so its no surprise anybody can get off track bouncing from idea to idea.

What you should do is spend another week or so to educate yourself, if you're not already well versed in the online business world, to give yourself an idea of what you should do in the beginning given your resources. There are so many aspects you could spend years educating yourself but a week is plenty for starters. When you do this important step you'll give yourself a realistic expectation, not some make 10,000$ a month in your first month type gimmick.

Also, you should do the legwork in everything first before you 'outsource' it. You'll become intimate with the inner workings of a website/seo/marketing strategies. This will help evaluate the resources given for outsourcing ie their credibility.

Now, the idea is to have a goal and make a B-line right toward it. Making a goal is not simply "i want to make 100$/month" but additional mini goals each day/week. How much time do I spend reading forums? How much time do I use to read blogs? How much time do I alot to SEO education? ETC...
You want to get organized and schedule yourself times during the week devoted to this new online business. There's only 168 hours a week and you need to make every bit count. The difference between you and the next person along with the failure/success that follows is how you best utilize this time. Zig-zagging from different ideas will get you nowhere but frustrated/overwhelmed/doubting your progress.

There are two schools of thought sell(market) what's selling or sell your passion, so to speak. For anybody, you should pick what you like to do because you already know something about it. This will make this a bit easier when you're starting out.

With wordtracker, its great a way to brainstorm but it doesn't help if you don't know what you're doing with the results. Although this is an important step you may want to first find out what all your options are when considering legitimate ways of making money online as well as whats best for the time alloted.
