Unravel your Competition 2007/02/13 05:16
I wrote about this briefly in the new ebook and also wanted to mention it here: http://www.Domain-Pop.com is an awesome free research tool. I use it to type in my main competitor's website address and check out their backlinks (and the PR). Then I choose all the high ranking quality backlinks and submit my website to the same ones to help boost my rankings.

Wow, that's an excellent tool Holly. I use SEO Elite as well, but that is very useful. Puts everything right in front of my face a little faster I think. Of course it doesn't do all the emailing for you, but hey I've noticed with SEO Elite half if not more of those emails in the Whois database refuse emails from the program anyways, unless I'm doing something wrong with it, but I don't think so. It's been quite useful though. I'll get to the top of google yet, hahaha, you just wait, Miss. Cheers Davin

Like Davin said ... WOW!

It really lets you see how much work you still have to do, doesn't it. Some people are putting in a lot of effort to secure #1 slots in Google.

I checked all my sites after Google appeared to be unaccessable over the weekend and noticed position changes for almost all of them. Thankfully, any that moved, moved upwards. got a couple of #2 positions (up from #4) and a #1. Woohoo!

I'll put my 2 cents in here as well. A couple of the tools i use to check on the competition,

http://www.iwebtool.com/

analyze any website here:

http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/

check keyword difficulty here, and a whole box of SEO tools as well:

http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/keyword-difficulty/

That's it for today. My advise too is know your competition, rip their sites apart and find out why they are there. Then do them one better.

Cheers.
