Static Pages on Website? 2007/09/28 08:34
On my WordPress website (used free Bosco template), I have a "home" page, but it does not show up in my "manage pages" link in the WP control panel. Does this have something to do with static pages? I'm not sure how to fix this (or edit home page). My "home" link shows my "about" page info. Not sure I'm making sense here?

My goal was to move the blog page off the home static page. I set the setting in WP to have a static front page, blogs show up where they should (forums).

Problem is, there doesn't seem to really be a home page even though the link to it is in the theme. I have one extra link now (both linking to my "about" page).

Please reply if you have any idea what I'm talking about.

Thanks.

Sometimes the links in the blog are "hard coded" into the template. I didn't think Bosco was a free template, let me know where you found it!

Your Home page, by default, is the index page where the posts are. You can tell Wordpress to use a different URL for posts and assign a static page as the homepage.

If you don't mind, could you provide a link to your blog and I'll take a look?
