Negotiation e-book price with Affiliates 2007/10/03 00:51
I was curious if anyone has had success other than maybe Holly (as she mentions in her book)contacting different affiliates to negotiate a reduced price to endorse their product via lens, site, or blog. I have run only one affiliate so far and seem to be getting zero results. I promote Honest Riches which we know is solid, but the competition is crazy. I have a variety of interests as demonstrated in my lenses and blogs below. I have been to clickbank and stumbled upon a handful of e-books I would consider endorsing but do not want to commit the $300 or $400 (total of the e-books). I understand you need to spend money to make it, but this is a little extreme up front. I am not looking for anyone to call out specific affiliates they have had luck with. I was just curious if anyone had success getting reduced prices. Thanks.

Regards,

BradK

Wow, I didn't know this was possible at all...I might look into this because there are several products that I'm selling through clickbank, some which I'm making 100+ sales of per month...I might try my luck getting a reduced price!

Thanks again!

Are you the right kind of person? 2008/05/01 13:38
If you're talking about requesting a review copy of an ebook. That's a reasonable request to make of the product owner IF ... IF you can show that you are the kind of person who can generate significant affiliate sales for them.

There are too many people out their already who will do anything to scam a copy of an ebook without paying for it. Most product owners will be wise to the fact that most people who ask for a free/cheap copy of their product never write a review or produce any sales.

Give the owner a good reason to trust you. Send them a link to another product review you have written, or a lens you've created. Ideally you would be able to show a track record of making sales of other affiliate products too.

Mark! My how you have changed. Nice new pic. Are you spending to much time in front of the computer or something? The new look is good.

Ha, Ha! No, I bought a copy of Poser recently and just can't stop playing with it when my broadband connection is down...which has been far too often lately.

Plus, the beard is gone a while now, so the photo just wasn't me anymore.

How are you getting on?
