Such great advice from the other forum members that helped me too because I'm so new to IM.

I was touched by your entry and want to share something that might be of interest. I just joined a program that is in beta testing now that will bring a website (affiliate sites,too) or blog up to the top of Yahoo and 39 other search engines for free until the end of March. They'll hold your position in the top of the search engines for 1 week before they ask for payment. Their track record so far has been about 180,000 clicks per site.

You can submit as many sites for free (until the end of March) as you want but each site has to have a separate email and backup email address.

As if that's not exciting enough, the affiliate program offers points for referrals that can be turned into cash or to pay for keeping your site in top position after your proven week is up. They have already been offered a buy out from another company but are holding until the fall when they will go public (IPO) and all the affiliates' points will be worth 10 times as much as now.

My girlfriend turned me on to it and she's got a good eye.

Thank you so much Davin and Fay. I told my husband about my melt down and he told me to take a break, so I did and I hope to start over again in the next few days after my children are in school. I am going to look over all the great ideas you all have given me. I just have so many ideas, and I can't seem to figure out where to start. Or how to use them. It is like I am all excited one minute and then scared to death the next. It is nice to know I am surrounded by wonderful people that offer their support and advice. And I really do appreciate it all. Thank you very much I don't expect it all to happen now, I know that is not the way it works. But if I could just figure out where to start....

If it's any help, I feel overwhelmed too ... it helps me to tell myself that it takes time to learn new things. I have been learning about this stuff for a few weeks and the people making $ have been around a lot longer ... how long have you been practicing e-commerce? Maybe the answer to that question may lend some perspective for you.

I use wordpress ... it takes a little practice but it's not too complicated. This software has a lot of tools imbedded or available to add to. I had the patience to learn it and I feel good about using it. It is free too.

I think the most important thing to remember is to be patient with ourselves and to have faith in ourselves.

Please use your common sense and don't fall for this scam.

No company can guarantee you an organic no. 1 position in google (read google's terms) or any other search engine.

Make a google search for "1on40 scam" and do some research before you go with a company that makes claims which can't be true. Also have a look at their testimonials... you you really think they are for real? A real testimonial includes the name, website and mostly a picture of the customer...

If it sounds to good to be true, then it is...

Hi Jenn,

I see that you are taking a break for a few days, but want you to know that I'm in the boat with you! I've been sitting at this computer trying to learn so much, and not seeing my efforts pay off... yet. We are so programmed for instant gratification, it's hard when you go through day after day with no results. This is especially hard when you are on line and read about all the people who made $100's of dollars in their first two hours. All I can say is Bollocks!

If you ever need to talk with someone who is literally in the same place you are, just write to me. I'd love to be able to share the experience with another person. I may not have had any success yet, but I plan to, and I hope to help many of my friends to get out of their predicaments too.
