overwhelmed with info some pls help. 2008/05/29 11:46
Hi guys,
can someone please help me? I've read Holly's book up to chapter 5 - website development and I'm a bit overwhelmed with the all the information I guess... I'm not sure how to carry out the research and how to use the information.

Do we firstly search for most the popular keywords? [/b]

Also what is the best way to search for these popular keywords?

Is it a must to buy WordTracker?

When we've got these popular key words how do we use the information?

Do we then enter these keywords into Google to find the number of competing websites?

What is the best way to recognize a niche and should we be trying to find a niche as much as possible?

Sorry for the simpleton questions guys, if anyone can offer me some help I'll be greatly indebted.

Many thanks.

Hi Ambitious,

You must be a newbie, like I was? Website/niche researching take some time! I suggest buy a low cost affiliate marketing program to start hands-on and than proceed from there. See my signature link MoneyNotEnoughOnlineBiz.com to try Ewen Chia's Autopilot Profit program.

Regards.

I too like you am new to this program. I purchased Holly's ebook yesterday and plan to implement the ideas and direction along with what I am already into. I am new to affiliate marketing/IM (internet marketing).

About a month ago, I was researching/looking on search pages and reading articles about affiliate marketing and other avenues of income and I found this one program that I have been working with now for about a month. I hit a bit of a road bump, but now have had my website on line for about a week and it is generating sales leads. It isn't skyrocketing yet, but it is helping me learn the ins and outs of this type of business.

Some of the good things about this company are that in signing up after you have subscribed to their recommended webhost company, you will receive a payment back to you for this sign up which give you your first 12 or 24 months of your website hosting for free.

Also they provide a great detailed setup instructions of how to get started.

What you get when you signup:

1.Free Website ($75 bonus after creating an account with the
suggested webhosting company)
2.Detailed instructions on how to get started.
3.Webpage designed for you (you will be given your own
unigue affiliate link to implant)
4.Webhosting service has $30 Google Adwords credit to get you
started with PPC Campaign.
5.Also you will receive information on another SEO that provides
a $50 Credit towards sign up with a new account.

Basically, all of this is at no cost to you. I think for me it was a great way to get started and to actually see in action what affiliate marketing is about.

As I mentioned before, I purchased Holly's book to gain more knowledge and insight into Internet Marketing (IM) and through my browsing through her book I can see some things already that will be helpful in the near future.

If you need some free software tools to build a webpage, one that I had recommended to me was NVU which is an open source program.

You can find it at: http://www.nvu.com/

For further information on the affiliate program that I described above, you can check it out at: http://www.kwbaffiliates.com

Just wanted to share some information to you.

Thanks.

So you are planing to build a website, first of all don't choose "popular" high competing keywords because you will never bee on 1st page of google search engine results, rather go for less competitive keywords.

High competition=High search volume
Low competition=Low search volume

Also what is the best way to search for these popular keywords?
Use Google adwords keyword tool external Best free keyword research tool
Is it a must to buy WordTracker?
No, it is not a must but if you want to be ahead of your competition and get the best keyword information you must purchase a paid keyword tool. Also if you have the money invest your money in Keyword elite,it is the best keyword tool you can find online, with detailed statistics and much more.
When we've got these popular key words how do we use the information?
Really sorry but didn't understood the question.
Do we then enter these keywords into Google to find the number of competing websites?
Yes,but enter them with quotes"" to see the exact competition.

What is the best way to recognize a niche and should we be trying to find a niche as much as possible?
Do you understand what is a niche?
A niche market is a focused targetable portion of a market,in other words a smaller more targeted market.Profits and earnings vary from one niche too the other.

Sorry for the simpleton questions guys, if anyone can offer me some help I'll be greatly indebted.

Many thanks.

You are welcome.
