I'm pretty new here, and I've read a lot of posts by members here who seem to be doing well; creating websites, promoting affiliates, creating their own ebooks, etc.

What I want to know is (and I know this may be personal or forward):

-Who in here is doing this (meaning, affiliate marketing through creation of their own websites, blogging, forum posting, article submission, etc. per Honest Riches) as their full-time job?

-Who in here is making enough money to live without needing a second job? (The range I'm talking about is $3000 a month or more)

If you meet these criteria, I'd love to see a quick post with a blurb about how long you've been doing this, and how successful you currently are. I don't need to know how much you make, but since my goal is to make affiliate/internet marketing my full time job, I want to know how many others here are already doing it, or are on their way.

I make around 3 grand a month...I'm hoping in the next 3 months that will be up to 5

I started about 18 months ago or so. It took me a little while to figure out what direction to take (building niche websites), but once I got that decision out of the way, I've been working on it steadily ever since.

It took me about 9 months to get my first site built solidly enough to start bringing in monthly checks. (Many affiliate programs as well as Google Adsense require a minimum level to reach payout).

I'm currently making about $500-$700 per month from my sites. It inches up every month. I had about 6 weeks off recently so I have some catching up to do, but the good thing is the money still came in even though I was having time off.

The only investment I made was the purchase of the SBI program that I use to build, host, and maintain my sites. Of course, I have to consider my internet connection and my time, too.

Some niches are more profitable than others, so you need to keep that in mind when you are considering what to do. The amount of time you have to spend on your online business is a big variable, too. Everyone has a different schedule and priorities. Just know that you can get there if you are willing to stick with it and work as you are able.

You may get there faster or slower, but you will still get there if you don't give up.
