Hi everybody,

My name is Robin, I'm from South Alabama. I'm the mother of 4 kids that I home school. There ages are 11, 10, 9, and 8. I've been married for 17 years. Before I had children I was a RN in Mississippi. Since having kids, I've devoted my life to my family. My husband and I have looked for years at many different "work from home" things, but recently have begun one that we feel is doable. Like everyone else, we could use the extra income and we hope to build a house soon. My husband works full time and although I don't get paid SO DO I!!! I hope to learn a lot from all of you about how to go about the internet business "thing" and also to learn about other things I can be doing to earn money from home. I can only squeeze a couple of hours-MAX out of my schedule each day because my kids are on the local swim team which requires 2 to 2 1/2 hours from us 6 days a week. (And more on swim meet weekends)

Hi Robin, and welcome to the forum! It sure sounds like you have a full time schedule with all you do. From what you will find on this site, you'll soon realize that there is a wealth of information already posted by other questions, as well as wonderful, helpful members who are always willing to help us who are new as well as those with experience.

I've just been here a short time as well.

Hope your "Dixie" isn't going to get a visit from Gustav...we're not too sure in our area. But, what will be will be. No need to worry!

I'm from south of Atlanta so not too far away. It sounds like you have your hands full. It's important to keep your kids involved in activities and to be involved in their lives. Mine are grown but I always stayed involved and kept them busy. They say you are a success if your kids turn out better than you did.

Hopefully Gustav will steer clear of you.

Pleased to meet you. I'm from Ohio, but my husband and I are missionaries in Australia, so I'm far from 'home' at the moment.

It sounds like the Lord has blessed you with a lovely family. It's wonderful that you are able to home school them and be at home with them. I know it is a lot of work - but very worth it.

I hope the Lord will bless your online endeavors so that you will be able to build that house before you know it.

I took a look at the links in your signature. How long have you been at those? I've heard SFI mentioned in another forum, but really don't know what it entails. The sign up page isn't really informative enough to guess.

The other one sounds interesting. Are people paying you to wear their logos? I suppose that would be okay if it was something you didn't mind advertising. I'll be interested in hearing how these are working for you.
