I posted reviews on article websites but 2008/09/01 03:14
Hi everyone,

I've posted 2 articles on searchwarp, goarticles and article alley. On goarticle they are live and I know it's been read a few times as some requests were registered, if that makes sens?? However, on searchwarp it says they are public but nobody has read it and one's been on there for a week, the other for a few days.... And finally on article alley, well, both are still waiting approval, even the one that's been there for a week !! I've put a lot of time into it and I feel a bit discouraged because I have no idea if I'm doing something wrong or what I'm doing wrong. Why are my articles still waiting for approval on article alley and howcome noone is looking at my articles on searchwarp??

Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, in all honesty all article directories are not the same. Searchwarp for example doesn't get as much traffic as other article directories. The best place for traffic is still Ezine Articles. Go Articles still works out pretty good sometimes to.

A lot of the reasons we use article directories is for building one ways links back to our web pages to improve our search engine rankings. While you can make some money directly from affiliate products in some article directories, not all of them to adhere to allowing affiliate links.

When placing articles in places like Searchwarp it's not uncommon to have to wait weeks sometimes until an article is published. With thousands of people publishing articles everyday they get back logged, and can't always keep up with the demand.

Also, as far as your articles not getting read. There may be some reasons for this. You need to know how to write effective titles that might draw a person looking around in. There is more than meets the eye to writing good articles.

I'm not sure if that helps, but, it should answer some of your questions.

Cheers
Davin

I agree with everything Davin said here. The thing about article marketing is it is an exercise in consistent action. Some articles will funnel people to your site or offer, and some will help your rankings. Some will do a bit of both, and some may not do anything.

The key is to continue to post them. Keep building momentum, and eventually your efforts can carry themselves.

I'd suggest you google article marketing, as there is a lot of good(and sometimes free) reports out there. Also, for a specific method, check out Travis Sago's course at www.bummarketingmethod.com
That's not an aff link, the course is free, and Travis knows his stuff.

Warmly,
Kevin

Kevin is right, momentum is the key.

You said you put a lot of effort into writing those two articles.

Let me ask you, how many have you written in the week since you submitted them? Hmmm?

Depending on the niche and specific keywords you've chosen to compete for with your articles, you may need a LOT more to see decent, regular traffic.

If you choose a longtail keyword (4+ words) that people are searching for and has little competition, you can get traffic almost as soon as your article gets picked up by the search engines.

If you writing for a competitive keyword or niche, your article may go pretty-much unnoticed, which is why you need a magnetic title, like Davin suggests.

There are plenty of people out there writing 10 or more original articles EVERY DAY to stay on top of their niche.

Keep writing! A few hits a day from each article will soon add up.

-Mark.

PS. It is no use to you if people just READ your article, they need to be clicking through to your site FROM the article for it to be of benefit to you. So, make sure you write an enticing Bio, make your site sound worth visiting, or post Part 2 of your article on your OWN site.

Saying "For more info on <My Niche> visit my site" just won't cut it. You've gotta sell the click!!!
