Hi Chantilly,
Thanks for the kind words about my chocolate site. It is definitely a tempting morsel, isn't it.

The Google ads are called Adsense. Basically, when you build your site and have it established you can sign up to Google's Adsense program (for free). If they approve your site, they provide codes that you can place on your site where you like and then they generate the ads that are related to the subject of the page.
When visitors click on your ads, Google gives you some of the money that the advertisers pay them.
You get the actual code from Google, but yes, SBI helps you out with a step by step tutorial of how to go through the process of placing the ads, etc.
I highly recommend SBI, of course. I knew absolutely ZERO and was completely gobsmacked by the whole entire web building/affiliate marketing thing. They took all the hard bits out of it for me and simplified it so that I could create not only my chocolate site, but my other sites, too.
I'm still no 'expert' but I love what I've done so far and where I'm headed.
Blessings,
Angie
P.S. I do have affiliate links on the site too. Most of them are links within the content of the text. That is entirely different from Google ads.
