Here I go! 2008/09/10 18:15
Hello! This is my first post! I am very excited to delve into affiliate marketing etc. as I am desperate to be a stay at home mom within the year. I have been learning internet marketing for the past couple months. I am absorping as much as possible and understand the marketing concepts quite easily but I'm having trouble with the simple computer applications like attaching URLs and such. Any suggestions on a one stop resource for computer/internet usage for marketers? Also, can anyone tell me if my goal of making about $10,000.00/month is duable with Holly's techniques or am I way off? My plan so far is to start with product reviews and then work on developing a website and forums. Suggestions and support of any kind are greatly appreciated. God Bless!!

Hi natleeh,

Welcome to the forum. You've got big plans! That's great. It's also very good that you understand the marketing concepts so easily. Most people struggle and feel very confused early on.

Regarding a one stop resource, that's a tough ask. My one stop resource is SiteBuildIt. It's very comprehensive, but it doesn't cover everything in the wide range of marketing techniques. I think you will have to decide what form of marketing you want to do in order to know what resources are the best to recommend.

If you want to learn how to build and maintain a website business that gets free targeted traffic from the search engines, then SBI would be the place to go. They do have a lot of tips and techniques for other forms of marketing within their materials that you can certainly learn from, but building successful web businesses is their specialty.

$10,000 per month? It is do-able, but it takes TIME. Don't expect to be bringing in that kind of money for a few years unless you are very, very, lucky, very, very, good, or have a lot of money to invest in advertising methods.

There is so much hype about making lots of money online, super fast, with little effort, that it is no wonder people are tempted to believe it.

You can make lots of money online, but it usually takes lots of time and lots of work.

Just keep taking steps. Every step in the right direction is progress towards your goal.

Blessings,
Angie

Wow, $10,000/month in a year? Dream big girl! I "honestly" started this about 4 months ago and my goal is only $400. But you know what I'm sure it can be done if you stumble upon the right niche.

My suggestion to you is what I am finding most useful. Google, google, google.

Start your first project after you've finished all your research regarding your niche and then everytime you hit a stumbling block google your question. That will eventually lead you to even more answers you have been looking for. Alot of people on here are excellent resources as well - everyone has their own little wealth of knowledge to offer. So read the posts and you will pick up little things too.

Good luck!
Tina
