Newbie ready to start~yet confused too 2008/09/11 05:25
Hi there everyone
I just got done reading through the ebook I am excited and ready to start
I am somewhat confused as to where to start though
Do I start a website? If so, is my website all about reviews?
The wordtracker site looks good, yet it's almost $15 a day..I don't know if I can figure out a niche in a day..yet I don't have money for a year's trial. Is there some way I can be more efficient?
I started a blog, yet don't know how to get the SEO part down
HELP

Hi Chantilly, and welcome to the site! I totally can relate to your current "state of confusion", for when I first started reading over this site, even before I bought Holly's book, my head was spinning with ideas. What I found to be really helpful was to not try to set up something at the beginning, but to take advantage of all my "brainstorming" and write down every thought and idea I could. As I did that, and continued reading here, then when I got the e-book, reading that, a plan started to come to me and I got a sense of where to start. Others on here will have more concrete advice to give you, so you'll probabley get lots more ideas soon!

Good luck, and we always enjoy hearing how each other is getting along!

Until next time...
Annie

Hi Chantilly,

Welcome to the forum. You don't have to start a website, but it is a good idea if you are shooting for long term success. I wouldn't recommend a review site unless it is about some particular niche products (NOT work from home products).

It's often a good idea to think about what you are good at or what you know a lot about already. It sure makes things easier.
For instance, I know someone who has a review site for vacuum cleaners and another one for juicers.

But, you don't have to do a review site, per se. You can choose any type of niche that you have an interest in. You can see from my signature that I have three sites, one on chocolate candy, one on auto insurance, and one on parasites. They are completely different from each other.

None of them are review sites, although I do review different products when appropriate.

When I started I had no idea about how to build a website, how to do brainstorming for keywords, how to do SEO properly, etc. I literally knew nothing. I read a free affiliate marketing course and then signed up with the SiteBuildIt program. It was the best investment I've made online.

With SBI, all the tools, training, software, brainstormer (wordtracker included), domain, hosting, ezine, autoresponders, etc., are included. The best thing, though, in my mind was the step by step Action Guide. It takes you through the whole process from start to finish and you actually DO the steps as you are learning.

Well, that's been my experience and my recommendation to all my friends and family. If you want to make a real go of an online business and you don't know where to start, start with SBI.

Blessings,
Angie

Sent you a pm.

Thanks, Link

I disable my website link on purpose within the forum. I don't like it getting sucked into search engines per privacy issues/concerns. I want my entries herein to be primarily within the HR community.
