I've been unable to update my signature properly for a few weeks now. Is anyone else having a problem? When I try to do it, it loops back to the main page, saying error on page. I've contacted help, but it's no better yet.

Just curious if it's just me?

When I open up the edit profile, then click on the icon w/the signature update box, it says in the lower left hand corner of my screen done but with error on page, then automatically loops me back to the main forum page. Every once in a while I an make a change, but usually not. This forum is the only one I'm having problems doing my signature, so I don't think it's my computer.

I haven't tried to change my signature for a couple of weeks, but there are a lot of technical problems with this particular forum, at least for me.

As you said, it doesn't seem to happen elsewhere, so I've decided it must be the script or server of this particular forum.

We all like it here, so we put up with it, but I can understand your frustration. I guess just keep trying each day until you are able to get access.

Just out of curiosity... Do you make the updates in your signature before you click on the update box? That may sound like a silly question, but I'm embarrassed to say how many times I've clicked on wrong buttons! I'm trying to remember the actual step by step process for this forum. I think I'm going to have to go and check it right now to be sure...


...Just went and double checked. You click on my profile, then you click on the forum settings tab. Make the corrections in your signature block and then click update. Is that what you did? If so, I guess it's just a glitch. Sorry!

Maybe you can try emailing support for the forum to see if they can figure out what the problem is.

Hi Angie! The process you described is how I do it, when I can, but usually what happens is before I can even type anything into the signature box the page automatically changes to the main forum page. Tonight I snuck a change in...and it did not appear correctly at first and I thought "Oh great, now I'm stuck with this!", but after about 20 tries, I hit a lucky spot and made the correct change! Don't get me wrong, other than this glitch I have nothing but praise for this site! I emailed support and they are working on it...but, I posted this thread just out of curiosity to see if others had this experience!

Oh good! I'm glad you were able to finally make some adjustments. No, I didn't think you were being critical - facts are just facts and you didn't take a nasty tone at all.
