Welcome to the forum Brian!

You can learn a lot just by reading the posts on this forum but if you have any quesions, feel free to ask. For the most part, the people here are very helpful and friendly.

If you start to feel overwhelmed after reading the book just know that this is perfectly normal! You will need to read through it several times to really begin to understand it.

Best Wishes,
Kathy

Hi Brian, and welcome! Being still new myself, I second what Kathy says. Also, I am finding it helpful to take some basic notes as I read the book. Sort of creating my own personal outline that will allow me faster access to get to information that's really important, to be able to review...to customize my experience so I can learn the best and the most possible. Everyone has to find their own approach, so take your time and let us know how you are doing!

Until next time...
Annie

Thanks Kathy and Annie,

So far Im extremely overwhelmed but Im still reviewing material. Most of it makes sense on the marketing side.I had atleast looked into it a little in the past.

When ever I get interested in something I use more than one source to see what is out there so I have alot of material to review

The SEO stuff kinda makes sense so far.

The Website design and the technical issues is where im completely lost. I Ummmmmmmmm Downloaded Dreamweaver to try to make some sense of some of it, fortunately I have a computer geek friend that can help me understand that part of it or I could outsource it to him if its out of my realm of capabilities.

I'm not familiar with Dreamweaver...I've decided to see how far I can go with free products, like creating a Blog and using either HubPages or Squidoo for my "website" pages. I did buy a domain name, but have no need for hosting. It's exciting to see how each new person approaches applying their information and ideas. And it never hurts to have computer geek's as friends!

Until next time...

Im not sure what I will do in the end, Im kinda in the just seeing what it takes stage for now. If I decide to do it I will take a faster approach, but fortunately I can outsource if I need to and do alot of the things that you have to pay for to speed things up.

Im very interested so far, I also bought information on PPC but thats a little above me for now at 500$ an experiment. I see the benefits of both approaches but when you are just learning the PPC isn't realistic with no experience.

The other side is there is so much on the technical side of SEO websites. So much conflicting information. I have read Holly's book and bought her friend's Ewen's 10$ e-book that I found worthless,ComBlue which I got a good deal and got Affiliate Payload and Proxis Profits included at the same cost and the lazy man ebook.

It's been such an education so far. I was at my computer guys house yesterday getting a computer reformated and when he tried to go to a website to DL a program for my computer he ended up on an affiliates site and couldn't figure out why he ended up in the wrong place, So it was fun to be able to explain to him what happened and why now that I understand it.

I thought I was getting a grip on it but then I watched some of the vids in the link provided in I think the SEO section ,one of the first post there, it had the black guy talking about website architecture and then I started clicking on the Google guys short vids, so Im more confused now then when I started, lol

I work on boats so I will have two months to play with Dreamweaver and review all the material and by then I think I will be able to experement with SEO or do more research depending on my understanding at that point.
