Hi 2008/10/12 20:05
Hi

I have been a student of self-help for over 30 years. I have been helping others though my web site and e-book for over the past 5 years and am now starting a new project where I hope to help others by showing them how they can succeed during the hard times ahead.

You see I believe that the events that are now taking place will only make matters worse not better for most people.

I also believe that now is the time for many to succeed if they only knew how.

Therefore I am asking that members of this forum will help me out by submitting your comments and ideas on how to succeed in a poor economy.

For taking your time to reply I would like to offer you a copy of my e-book "Your Workbook To Success" and a copy of "How To Succeed In A Poor Economy"

You may add your comments here:

Thank You
Tom Robarge

Hmmm, Well I'm from Canada Tom. And, yes we are feeling it here in a huge way as well.

If it's not one thing it's another. Right now gas over here is quadruple what it used to be just one year ago. In US funds, I believe we would be paying about 6.00 a gallon. Which is, well bloody ridiculous.

I live in a small town which has been over run by investors turning this town into a huge tourist attraction. The problem with that is that most locals can't afford to live in this town they once called home anymore. It's been overrun by real estate investors, and the price of rent has tripled for most people. It's a darn shame, and not a lot of fun for anybody, unless they happen to be among the upper middle class to the upper class.

The only people who really seem to be enjoying it, are the rich tourists that come to town and don't mind paying several hundred dollars for a round of golf or blowing ten grand in a week for their accommodations, lol.

As far as what we can do to survive these things. I can only come up with a couple of things. That is pulling together more as people and helping eachother out, and also working twice as hard to accomplish our goals. Their is strength in groups of people as opposed to trying to accomplish everything by one's self.

I know it's easier said than done, but, it certainly is a nice goal to shoot for.

Cheers
Davin

Welcome to Holly and Davin's work from Home Forum, Tom. Most of this note is for the benefit of the rest of the forum members because I can tell you truly have been at your purpose for a qualified amount of time. And you are also still at the top of your game it seems.

for the members here I support you following Tom's link and being a part of his current project. Right now when I search Tom Robarge on Yahoo I find 198 references and did not finf any that were disparaging. He does daywhat he means and has a web presence that shoes he can deliver. If I read him correctly he will be a part of this forum fo a while offering observations you may have on whatever questions come up about personal development.

I said Tom is at his purpose for a eeason. He is doing what he is meant to be doing. He is not "on his game" as many would choose to be in order to turn a buck. My words are not ever choen lightly. Tom and Davin and Holly are all three doing what is the purpose for each of their lives. I fully intend to enjoy what Tom has to offer.

Well, thanx for the encouraging words Tony. Yeah, I think a lot of people may be able to benefit from taking Tom up on reading his book. It certainly sounds like it may help encourage quite a few people.

Oh, and by the way...it's Holly's forum. Yes, I do help her out with things wherever possible, but, it's still hers...

I think I'm starting to collect cob webs I've been around here so long!
