How many sites? 2006/12/22 18:46
Hi Everynoe, how many domain names do I need to make a decent income? At this point I don't think I can afford more than 1.

Also does it matter where you get your doamin name from? I know yahoo, register.com, and some other offered in the book are good, but does it matter?

It only matters when something goes wrong!

There are plenty of registrars out there with poor reputations. By chosing a recommended company you reduce the chance that you'll pick one that may give you trouble if you need to contact them to, say, transfer your domain.

Other than that, you can register anywhere as long as they offer the features you need at the right price. Don't pay over $10.

It's worth checking to see if the registrar you're considering offers private registration. Sometimes it's free and it means they hide your name, address and phone number in the registration of the domain. Otherwise it's visible to everyone.

If you get hosting with Bluehost about $8.95 a month, you can host 5 domain names.

So that's 5 separate sites domain names are about $10 per year each and the hosting service is $8.95 per month to host them all.

But concentrate on one at a time.

Once you get the first one on autopilot, then create another one.
