I've been using some free software that was recommended in this forum - The Dowser. I received notification of a free e-book that you can download from their site called "Wordtracker's Keyword Research Guide". I found it very informative and you don't even have to sign up to anything to download it. If you're interested you can find it at http://www.thedowser.com/wordtrackerebook.
Maybe its pretty basic for those people who've been doing this for a while, but as a newbie I found it worth the read.
