Help with Website...? 2007/05/02 18:45
Hi,
Would any of you guys be willing to analyze my site a bit and offer tips?

I am an affiliate for swimwear, but that was so competitive as far as keywords go, that I chose "beachwear" with phrases like "beachwear Styles", "bikini Beachwear", "sexy beachwear".

I managed to get "unique beachwear" to number one in Google, but there are only a couple hundred thousand sites competing.

I have 2 articles that come up many times for many, many different search strings, but it hasn't brought me any traffic.

I could really use some help, and I know everyone is busy with things of their own...

Also... how do you go about making changes to your sites? Do you make a small change and wait unitl Google re-caches? or what?

Sometimes it feels like gambling...

If anyone can help out... I am grateful. Thanks.

Hi Jeannie,
I looked at your site and it makes sense that you have a high ranking for unique beachwear. I checked out a few pages and noticed in the source code that you have the same title and keywords for each page (title containing words about unique beachwear). If you are targeting other keywords or would like to reach more potential customers - do your research first - then change all of the page titles, description and keywords to fit what you are targeting and each page's content. It's EXTREMELY impt that each page's title, desc. and meta tags are unique to that page in particular. I recommend that you put the keywords you are targeting first in the title - then some words about that particular page after it. Good luck!

Hi! I certainly don't know much about analyzing the site, but I just was wondering if you have tried targeting the cruise market? All cruise keywords and phrases? or the word/phrase vacation? Just a thought.

Good luck! I'll be watching to see what others have to say. It will help me too.

Hi Ali,

I have links and graphics for cruise vacations on some of my pages, but I will focus on that later. Optimizing just for beachwear is quite a challenge for me right now. Thanks.
