AddMe link cloaker or Holly's? 2007/05/17 21:28
I'm interested in people's opinion as to which is better, the AddMe link cloaker that Holly discussed in her e-book or her new software, "Pro Link Cloaker". I'd rather not spend the $ on software if the AddMe software accomplishes what I want, i.e., cloaks affiliate links and I get the commission. Thanks for the help!

Well you could maybe get by with a cloaker from Addme for a little bit. I'm sure in time though you would want a more professional and effective cloaker like Pro Link Cloaker.

This is especially true when you begin to have a email list of your own, and you begin mailing your prospects a couple times a week and sometimes personally recommending products etc.

As strange as this may sound, people can pick up on things like a persons lack of professionalism in terms of not feeling valued enough as a customer to have it presented to them in the best way possible.

They feel more comfortable buying from a person that does take the time to use professional resources etc. It gives them more confidence and value in the person they are purchasing from.

I hear ya.

I tried AddMe link cloacker a couple times just now and it bombed on me. Not a good sign.

I'll be purchasing Holly's link cloaker. Do you know if she is still offering the $7 off for forum members?

Hey,

I followed up on a suggestion by Davin to take a look at urlfreeze.com.

I did. My signature is cloaked with it.

Currently I don't have a website so don't have a need for installed software.

So it cloaks my link as www.urlfreeze.com/offers/HonestRiches2 for example. You get your choice of the folder, in this case I selected 'offers'.

I may look to get Holly's ProLinker when I get a site, so that I get a cloaked link prefixed with my domain.

Until then - I'm more than happy to stick with e freebie.
I should become a urlfreeze affiliate.

Take care

Thanks for the tip, BSC. I do not have a website yet either so urlfreeze might work for me now. I appreciate the help.

Last night I grew a few more grey hairs trying to use addme.com for cloaking a link in forums that are [URL] code. It seems to work ok in my Blogger.com post, but, then that accepts javascript code. I was wondering about urlfreeze, for I thought I had read of it on here, as well as it came up in my google search. I'm having a problem being able to alter my signature on the forum here, but when I can, I'll proudly show off my freshly cloaked affiliate links!
