hello, im new to this but ive done a few searches on this forum and no help. wordpress forum has revealed to me some interesting info. so far as i can see all adsense ads are not allowed and will get my blog deleted. maybe im so new im missing something, but all the admins point to the same faqs and terms of service. heres a link..

folks, if thats true then I would like to request a website change. maybe the turnkey review site would be a better choice. what would be the trouble to get that site uploaded since ive allready purchased a year of hosting? Is there a place where i can go get the turnkey template and do the work myself?..thnx..

Holly mentions in her book "Honest Riches" that a free Wordpress site imposes restrictions on affiliate advertising. That's a key reason why she advises getting your own independent web hosting. You can still use the Wordpress blog design, plugins etc. but you place the pages on your own website.
You ought to check out Holly's open offer to build you a website free of charge. The sole condition is that you use Bluehost - whose rates BTW are as competitive as anyone's.

thnx for the quick reply, i did sign up thru her link for bluehost. I havent done any work on the net for 8 years. I used to have my own dotcom that reached the top page of yahoo and stayed there for a year. my late wife hand coded the site and i did the meta tag work. we were at the top of our niche. blackottertradingpost.com.
I see where it says nonhosted has limitations. I was alarmed at the admins on wordpress possibly having some sort of say over my content. maybe since it is off their site then im ok?
sorry for any noOb qeustions, I just dont want to get fried before I start...lol
is the turnkey template available for uploading anyway? It may be a great subdomain page that i can link to and save me dusting off my old html books that are so old...lol

Good to have you on board. I am with blue host also and I didn't have a clue how to get a wordpress on blue host. I followed the instuctions in Holly's book but was still a bit lost. However I called blue host up and they talked me through it in a matter of 2 minutes, it is actually very straight forward. Holly's book instructions where right it was just one of those things - when you haven't done it before yourself - it helps to have someone on the other end of the phone to talk you through. I then called back the next day and they talked me through how to upload templates. Again very straight forward - I made sure I took notes because I am in the UK and I don't want to be calling the States everytime I want to do something - it could get very expensive.

Anyway I hope this helps. It really is very straight forward to install wordpress with blue host - give them a call and see what they say it sure helped me because prior to the 2 minute phone call I had been racking my brain trying to do it for about 7 hours.
