The June competition is now closed.

We will have to wait until around July 11 to get the result.

Surprised that there were only 15 members who entered.

I would be interested to find why more people didn't enter. The competition could hardly have been easier, jsut think of a number that no-one else had entered and make that your entry. How difficult would that have been?

I hope by the next time World Cup rolls out that there is video ref. Some of the decisions that have been made have been terrible. Oh well - that is life and we cannot change it now.

With 2 matches still to be played one member has predicted slightly fewer yellow cards than has currently been awarded and one slightly more, so one of then is likely to be the winner.

The member who currently is third closest could win if 20 or more yellow cards are awarded in the 2 remaining matches; this however is unlikely as the highest number of yellow cards awarded in the previous 62 matches was 9 and the average yellow cards awarded per match was just under 4.

It all hangs on the number of yellow cards awarded in the last 2 matches, but the final result of the June competition is likely to be close.

We are down to the wire now Im sure the Dutch and Spanish People are very proud of their teams playing for the Soccer Crown in a final Nobody would have picked May the Best Team Win on the day

By my reckoning one member is very close to the final score for yellow cards, just 1 more yellow card predicted than actually awarded, with only the Cup Final to go.

I will post the results of the competition soon after the Cup Final tomorrow.

OK, the final whistle has been blown and Spain won the FIFA World Cup after extra time.

A total of 12 yellow cards were awarded in the final including a second one for HEITINGA.

That makes a total of 252 yellow cards throughout the World Cup
