August Competition

Sorry we were unable to run a competition in July but we're back with one for August.

This is based on falcon1959's winning entry from the May competition.

Well done falcon1959 (Garry) and thanks for the suggestion.

Send in your top Internet Marketing tip that you have used that has made a real difference to your online business. If you are anewbie or haven't yet launched your online business then send in your Tip that you believe will make your online business a success.

As we are looking for your best tip then, obviously, we can only accept a single tip from any member.

To keep things manageable tips should be no longer than 50 words.

The competition is open until the August 21 for submitting entries. Then there will be a voting period until the end of the month where there will be a poll to select the best entries. Once the poll is open all members will be able to vote once for one or more entries that they feel are the best IM tips overall.

The best tips will be turned into a PDF report that will be offerred to members in return for a donation to charity.

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 tips.

The prizes for the August competition are:

1st prize a years subscripton to the EMMC

2nd prize youtube tsunami robot software
3rd prize youtube tsunami robot software

In the event of a tie then the administrators and moderators will make the final choice.

As this competition was your choice, give it your support.

My entry:

Tip: Keyword research is probably the most vital aspect of any online business. The problem arises when we think as sellers when picking our keywords, when we need to think as our customers.

My main work is writing and ghost writing. My best tip is actually being a member of this forum. I found my first client here and am still working for her.
It has raised my profile considerably and I have had inquiries and work as a result.
I have also learnt a lot about various aspects of my own business and other things i knew nothing about.

I believe I have also made some friends.

this looks like quite a nice competition, i wil have to have a think about it

This is my entry:

Write down your decision to work on your business and stick that paper on your monitor. Then dedicate time each and every day to work on your business. Not reading salesletters, or trolling on Facebook, but working on your business consistently. Make working on your business your number one priority.

Before bedtime, review what you did today that went well and what didn't. Then rewrite the day as you would have liked it to go had you done more of the things that went well and less of the things that did not and do the rewritten version tomorrow.

my tip:

Be patient and take action. Trail and error is what will get you ahead.

Take one ebook you have within your niche. Take out 52 extracts and rewrite a little, upload each one as a post dated blog post on your Wordpress blog. There, 1 year of content automatically feeding into your blog all on autopilot and naturally.
ACTION: DO THIS IN ONE DAY

It may be easy for you mate but most people have not got a clue.
It is not their fault and not only do they not know it is not their fault they just don't know.

Most people that think they know, don't know and the people who do know, when they try to tell those that don't know or the people that think they know what they need to know, don't want to know and it's not their fault.

Also because of the great work Kevin and Paul have done and are still doing with their various programmes, people with any sense are getting stuck in and working the systems.

Just as a personal thank you I would like all of the people who have helped me here on this site know that with their help and encouragement I am now about to break into the prison for nutters after realising that the real nutters are on the outside. I am now completely sane and it is not my fault.

I have now done this this morning...I got some free hosting and set up a data base called sql or something and manually installed a free wordpress all by myself by pressing various buttons on my computer and doing something called ftp. Whoo hooo! Now when I say I did this all by myself it was as a result of taking ACTION the first of which action was by entering these competitions and winning the prizes which contained the info which put me on the right path to get to where I am today.

Just as an aside I could now charge people to set their wordpress blogs up say for instance local businesses who are not on the net. All because of getting involved in these competitions and learning about the tools that I needed to use and practice with.

I still ramble though don't I?

in general, I think the more you learn, the more you realise how much you don't know.

Quite right my friend...as you have mentioned in another area..we all started somewhere..... and the difference in those that went somewhere worth going was the steps that they took to get there. Those that didn't go anywhere stayed where they were because they never took any steps.

It could be that when some people take steps they went in the wrong direction so never got where they wanted to get. The key place to go is inside our own heads and deliberately reprogramme all the wrong info that has been put there.
We then need to find out the steps that the people took who have arrived at where we want to be and take those steps.

Also we don't need to know everything ourselves as we can and must be helped by others by exchanging what we have as valuables for their valuables. As my wife keeps reminding me she does not have to know where to put the oil and water in her car as she has me to do that for her, she just needs to drive the thing to get to a from b and she is not interested in what goes on underneath the hood or bonnet. The important thing for her is to get where she is going.

It is wonderful that there are those willing to impart knowledge and teach yet every great teacher learns while teaching,a little something from each student.
Over the last year on this Forum I too have learned a great deal from participants and also from the Cambridge Business Academy.Most recently I have learned and started using techniques shown to members here and to The2percenters by Gordon and Richard to improve my internet marketing skills.
Despite knowing a lot about this business it is the most recent pearls that I feel will benefit me the most.Asking and answering questions in this forum has helped others do the same.
So listen or read, ask or answer, and above all ,share your knowledge and apply it by taking action on it.

I admit that I check emails too often. I should stop it too Eric.
