I usually prepare the Blog in word so I can edit , proof-read, spellcheck and word count and then paste the blog.

Then I may have to do some reformatting to sort out the text size, highlighting etc.

Not necessarily the most elegant way but it works for me.


Alternatively if you write the blog first then you can copy the blog into a word file and then do the word count.

I haven't found a word count within the blog, is there one?

I have just had a good look.... doen't appear to be a word count but like you said I used word.

I should have known that since I did read it.
I will not offer more opinions about blog entries for now since voting time is fast approaching and as a moderator do not wish to skew the results,in all fairness to every entry.Reed and I and Kevin and Paul were just discussing that in the private forum,regarding the voting coming up for both the banners and the blogs.There is still time left for more entries, also.So far, I must say that there are several excellent entries as banners and blogs.The winners should be proud once they are determined.

Paul Lynch and Kevin Potts will meet the following day to discuss the entries and on Tuesday 2 February the plan to announce the winners.

When we announced this competition we had hoped that there would be a membership vote on all the entries.

However, despite our efforts we have not been able to develop and test a satisfactory voting system that would allow each member to vote once only for any entry and prevent members from either voting for themselves or giving repeat votes for one or more entries.

I see it says that words must have at least 3 letters to count so that might affect people who talk about themselves in the blogs
