Thread: March Competition

The March Competition is now open

Kevin and Paul have come up with the following great prizes for the March 2010 Competition.

25 Physical $0.01 PC Google Secret
25 Physical SEO Secrets Courses
10 EMMC 12 month's subscriptions.
That’s roughly $16,000 worth of prizes for this competition.

In February the competition was way too easy, with 464 entries, so we have made this one slightly more of a challenge.

This competition will be in 2 parts:
Submit a new question in the newbie forum and/or Write an article about one of this months great prizes
You choose which part, or both, you wish to enter.

Each contestant can win only one of the following ways.

1. The best 2 entries for a question get a 12 month subscription to the EMMC each.
2. The best 2 article entries will win a 12 month subscription to the EMMC each.
3. The next 20 best entries for a question will win The $0.01 PC Google Secret each.
4. The next 20 best article entries will win the SEO Secrets Course each.
5. The best 5 for both parts will get a 12 month subscription to the EMMC plus The $0.01 PC Google Secret plus The SEO Secrets Course each.
6. The 6th best entry for both a question and an article gets a 12 month subscription to the EMMC--a fantastic runner-up prize in itself.

Competition Rules:

1. Keep question and article entries in separate posts
2. Only 1 question or article per post
3. Each question should
   
   1. Be no more than 30 words
   2. Be a new thread in the Newbies Forum and should have a post in this thread giving a link to the question thread (include Comp or Competition in the title for the thread)
      
   3. Ask a question related to Internet Marketing Techniques that have not been previously asked or answered ( any question deemed to have been previously asked will be deleted)
      
4. Each article should:
   
   1. Be at least 300 words long and be original (any articles deemed to be posted elsewhere or respun will be deleted)
      
   2. Include a resource box at the end which includes a link to a website; if you don’t yet have a website or an affiliate link, then use your referrer id; go to:

5. Enter as many times as you want so you can practice
   
   1. Then by 21 March let us know which of your entries you want included in the poll

1. Put the prefix COMP: before the post title.
PLEASE use a meaningful post title.
If you are asking a question, make the title so that readers can instantly see what the question is about.
a title like
Is the Bonzo-DoDah traffic system effective? will probably get a sensible answer if the rest of your question gives some informaiton on what you want to do, what you have done, and what you want to achieve.

Put some thought and effort into your questions. Don't be lazy.
If you want to become Internet Marketers, one of the things you need to learn is how to communicate properly with everything you write.
This competition is an opportunity to develop those skills.

The Question should be new to the forum not just the competition or not just the newbie forum.

Eric, I like your explicit encouragement to really think and apply some effort in asking questions and grappling with this exciting industry.

Pots of Gold

For almost a year I had toyed with the idea of setting up my own online business. I already knew enough about computers and the internet to be dangerous if left along for any period of time with either at my disposal.

I would fiddle around with this and that searching for a way to make a living form the internet without having to slave away day and night. What I found was 101 ‘Click me and you’ll be rich’ buttons and offers and I tried them one after another to no great avail.

I believed I had missed something or was just unlucky. Obviously this system I had just bought had been around for a while and people where always after the next new thing. If only I had stopped and thought about that last statement I would have saved myself so much time and money.

I was blinded by my own greed and ignorance.

Eventually I gave up and got on with my life only to get married and (as it stands now) have two wonderful boys. Yet I wasn’t content slaving away the hours I could be spending with my newly formed family. So I returned to the internet business idea a little wiser and a lot more realistic.

My responsibilities where far greater than they had ever been before, this became my anchor, my constant and my driving force. So I set out again this time with realistic goals and a true sense of purpose which I had lacked before.

I eventually found my pot of gold at the end of the URL rainbow, but it wasn’t filled with wealth beyond my dreams. It wasn’t filled with paying subscribers and it wasn't filled with 'one click money machine systems'.

It was filled with knowledge.

As for my online empire, well I’m not quite there yet but at least now I can see where it will be and how to get there. I just need to take the journey.
