Thread: Another suggestion for April's comp.

Why not do something practical?Unfortunately this was not my idea and many members on here should recognise it ,but it could work.Why not build a squeeze page ,register it with google analytics,drive traffic to it and see how many visits you get?Obviously you'll need a product, but for the purpose of this exercise a good value ebook would suffice.You never know you might make some money!

Creating a squeeze page was already a competition earlier.Driving traffic to it is a real challenge and something everyone here is trying to do and that is getting traffic to any of their sites.Unfortunately that suggestion would probably be too difficult for most members and entries thus would be few.We need something simple to get lots of participants. Thank you anyways.

Dave thats a top idea but i have to agree with Bill, it'll be very difficult to do and also i'm not too sure how many participants you'd get if they had to pay for a website and the traffic.

What people can do is build a squeeze page with an autoresponder opt-inform and give it a subdomain address of one of their existing sites.If they use Word Press they can cloak it using the Pretty Links plug-in and use their blog to drive traffic to their own link with a review page in a blog post, made "Sticky" for the month of the competition..However,the concept of a squeeze page competition so soon again would not get many participants.I thought that something as simple as asking a question would have had more entries than we did for the March Competition.By the way,did everyone vote ,yet ? Doesn't look like it.

Ok so we're trying to come up with a good comp well what about the prize??????

Yes that's not a bad prize but it takes place in mid April and the comp ends near the end but you could always ask Kevin and Chris if they'll do a workshop for just the winner

I've got a suggestion for the April competition.

Write an ad to sell Kevin in twenty five words or less.

Just joking.

I do think though it needs to be fairly simple so we get a good number of entries.

How about a comp to create a banner ad for Kevin, and see who can create one without spelling mistakes!

answer: one with a deliberate mistake - just ask Kevin how many people told him there was a mistake in his " Make Monkey" banner ad at the start of the year!!

but I guess it can go both ways with credibility if you don't know the advertiser? bit of a gamble I would think.

I like the idea of an adwords ad comp - you are constrained to 'x' number of words, 3 lines, catchy url etc

My suggestion on a prize is 1 winner get the Succeed 2010 program:

This is as $997 workshop plus $97 per month follow on, so nearly $2k in total - which is just about full now except a couple of slots on Saturday 24th April - so it would be that day....

Followed up by every product and every subscription both now and for the next 12 months, plus premium level support where you get 3 consultations of an in depth nature through the year, plus 12 monthly follow ups with in depth videos, as well as full access to the Power Point Slide Shows, the video I am doing of the full workshop and most of all, you will be meeting the team face to face in my home, in my film studio...

why not have a guest "guru" judge the winning entry/s - someone well known in the area that the comp is about?
