Most people really believe in their product, and it could be the best there is, but if nobody is going to your site then, there is no way you are going to sell it!

Most people simply have no idea how to drive traffic to their site after they set it up and this can be both very hard on their confidence and their wallet.

You need traffic to go to your site, but you simply cannot drive just any traffic, you need targeted traffic. You probably won’t sell a mouse trap for someone looking to adopt a pet, just like you won’t sell the newest Pay Per Click tools to someone looking to download their new favourite band’s song.

Here are 5 tried and tested way to drive traffic to your sites:

1. Social Networking - This is THE place you need to be creating relationships, you are interacting with people constantly and will eventually form relationships with these people, they will want to know a little more about you, and what you do, then you can offer them your services, most people hate being sold to, and will probably switch off if you try and sell to them straight away.

2. Forum Marketing - When you are chatting on forums, if you are adding value, certain people will feel inclined to help you, and in turn could buy from you, and even while your on forums, if you have a signature file under each post, people should be attracted to click it, also, these methods drive TARGETED traffic because you are actually interacting with the people you want to view your site.

3. Blogging - You will most likely be the centre point for all of your online ventures and this can be your online house, it will have your story, your knowledge and your value spread throughout it, you need people to be able to relate to you and a blog is an easy way for them to find out more about you. You can sell your product here because it is your house.

4. Video - Video marketing is an amazing way to get viewed and to find prospects and drive traffic to your site, people do business with people, and when they can see a real person, they will feel more inclined to follow you, especially if they can relate to you!

5. Articles - Article marketing is a very powerful way to drive traffic to a sales page or your blog. The reader will be looking for the content you have to offer and will be a good source of targeted traffic and viewers. The following isn’t a free method of traffic but is still great, Pay Per Click advertising, all though this is not free, it’ll probably be the MOST targeted audience you will find because they are going to the search engines and actually searching for the products that you have to offer.

There are only 5 tips here and there are many more out there but you should be able to generate at least 5 to 10 leads per day with these methods.

I am really excited about using video too, but I am not satisfied with the way my videos are coming out at the moment.

I seem to be getting way more love from ArticleBase then EzineArticles, so if you're not getting much traffic from your EA articles...re-post them over at Articlebase.

Scott 10 opts ins is a great start. You should get a big piece of paper or wipe board and set some targets - 50 - 100 - 250 - 500

I started 18 months ago now and my site is getting 1000 a day.....I just use what we teach and a few deep internet techniques...but all honest and totally ethical...but the issues is step by step, day by day,......getting the viral effect.

The next issue is measuring your stats so you know how good your conversions are:

1. Firstly plug in google Analytics so that you know how much traffic is coming to the site.

2. You will then be able to see how my opt ins your getting either from analytics or from your autoresponder.

3. Then check your open rates

4. Then check your click through rates.

5. Then finally check your sales rate.

By following through with these statistical strategies you will know where to focus to get the process tuned up, muscular and pulling in new customers.

You're welcome Captain. Folks....if there is one thing you will constantly here the admins repeating and any IM who are serious, it will be measure, test, measure, test.

In the old consulting days they addage was as follow:

"Plan - Do - Monitor - Review"

I still work to this maxim, knowing that it helps filter all my business, coaching, forum processing.

Firstly: I Plan - what do I want to do, why do I want to do it - all the interrogavtive What, Why, How, Where When

Secondly: get on with it. Do stuff. This has to be the area that most newbies fall down on.

Thirdly: Monitor - don't just do, but Do intelligently. Know your stats, hence that little summary above.

Fourth: And finally - Review. Step back take it in, think it through

Actually its not finally, because this is a repeating pattern.

So once' you've complete the first cycle. Rinse and Repeat.
